Your shipment cost is based on a rate per kilogram, and a few factors go into working out the final number:

• Whether your delivery is domestic or international (and if international, which zone)
• Where we're collecting from and delivering to
• The speed of service you choose
• The weight and dimensions of your parcel
• Any applicable surcharges
  
  

Surcharges fall into a few categories. General surcharges include the KYC (Know Your Client / FICA / RICA) surcharge and a waybill surcharge. If your shipment requires something out of the ordinary, additional surcharges may apply, including armoured vehicle, firearm, Saturday delivery, after hours collection or delivery, drive away, or incorrect delivery instruction surcharges. A variable fuel surcharge also applies.

We charge based on whichever is greater: the actual weight or the volumetric weight of your parcel.

Volumetric weight accounts for the space a parcel takes up, not just how heavy it is. It's calculated using this formula:

(Length cm x Breadth cm x Height cm) / 5000

So if your parcel is light but bulky, the volumetric weight may be what we charge against. Worth keeping in mind when you pack.

To comply with the National Credit Act, our standard terms are payment on demand, meaning payment is required before your shipment is collected.

If you're a Credit Approved Customer, you can negotiate a 30-day payment arrangement. We also offer a RAM Wallet, a prepaid account you can load up and draw from as you go.

Customs duties apply to all imports. VAT is charged on all deliveries.
